Ultimate Scale Victory

I made lifetime at my Weight Watchers meeting last night! I weighed in at 129.4 lbs and was able to add the little gold key charm to my Weight Watchers key chain.  And finally, the sun is shining in the DC area for the first time in a week - and its FRIDAY!! So, obviously I am in a good mood.

I weighed-in tonight at 134.2 lbs, just under my goal of 135 lbs. I am filled with so much joy, elation, excitement, pride....I could keep going. I am going to celebrate this day with husband, but I promise to post more tomorrow.

I had a fantastic and unexpected scale victory this week. I lost 3.0 lbs - quite a bit for me at this point - and reached my 80 lb mark (80.2 lbs to be exact). I was blown away when my leader told me how much I had lost, since my home scale had me maintaining up until yesterday. Just goes to show you shouldn't weigh yourself everyday!

Weigh-In Update

I weighed-in last night and was down only .4 lbs. This means I will probably not hit goal next week (as I had hoped). Surprisingly, I don't feel bad about this at all. I can see the finish line and I have every confidence I will get there, even if I have to drag my body across it using my fingernails.

That's right, I dropped into the 130s for the first time - well - for the first time since I was 15 years old! It feels good to be here, and be so close to goal. Officially, at weigh-in tonight, I was down 1.8 lbs for a total of 76.8 lbs at a weight of 139.8 lbs (just squeeking by that 140 lb mark).

Weigh-In Update

I weighed-in last night and was down just .8 lbs but it was enough to get to 75 lbs total loss! Which also means I met my mini-goal of 75 lbs by March 1st. My new mini-goal is my ULTIMATE goal now: 6.6 lbs to lose by March 19th!

I had weigh-in last night and I was down 1.8 lbs to 142.4 lbs and a total loss of 74.2 lbs! My BMI also dropped another point. And it looks like next week I will hit my 75 lb mark.

That's right - for the first time ever in my weight loss journey I have a single digit to lose - just over 9 lbs until goal!


Also, for the first time in my adult life, I am at a healthy weight for my height!

Time Flys When You Are Hurtling Down Mountains

Sorry for being MIA over the last week. I actually took a vacation for the first time in three years! My adorable husband and I both had Monday (MLK Day) and Tuesday (Inauguration - we work near DC) off, so we escaped to the West Virginian mountains and stayed at Snowshoe Ski Resort for four days. It was fantastic. I have skied before - but only once and it was on a very flat bunny hill in Michigan. And I loathed it.

I am down 2.4 lbs this week and feeling like I am back on track after my .2 gain last week. Only 17 lbs to go until I hit goal. I get a little flutter in my stomach everytime I realize how close I am getting!

I gained 0.2 lbs this week and I am actually "ok" with this. Why? Because I was on-plan, as they say in Weight Watchers, all week. I tracked everything and ate healthy. Why did I gain then? Well, its only been 5 days, instead of 7 days, since my last weigh-in because of the holidays. Also, I did less cardio this week and more strength training. I need to tone up my body now that I am getting smaller, but this also might slow or stall my weight loss for awhile.

Today I finally weighed-in after 16 days of not having meeting because of the holidays. That is the longest I have gone without attending a meeting, and it was good to be back and see my leader. All the hardwork over the holidays watching portions and exercising paid off, because I am down 4.8 lbs to 154.2 lbs (and a drop in BMI to 26) for a total of 62.4 lbs loss!

Well, at week 30 I was down 2.4 lbs for a total of 57.2 lbs. Just in time for Christmas, I broke into the 150s (159 lbs to be exact).  My BMI also dropped another point to 27! This is a great weigh-in that will help propel me through the tough holiday times.

And tough they will be. Our travel plans have changed because of a family emergency, and the husband & I will be leaving for Michigan tomorrow instead of Tuesda...

I weighed-in this evening, and sure enough I was down 1.8 lbs to 161.4 giving me a total of 55 lbs lost! To lose 55 lbs was my Christmas goal, so now I am determined to get into the 150s by Christmas Day.

So Far, So Good

The scale this morning said I was 1 lb lighter than what I weighed the day before Thanksgiving (and this after I had already eaten breakfast). It looks like I will come out of the holiday with a loss! Let's just hope that number shows up in 4 days at weigh-in.

Tomorrow is Turkey Day so I have to weigh-in at Weight Watchers a day early. Cross your fingers for me that I see the same number on the scale this afternoon that I saw this morning (165.5) that would be a 3.3 lb loss making up for my .6 gain last week and then some.

Facing My First Gain

I gained .6 lbs this week. It is my first gain, and although its not big, I am not going to lie and say everything is fine. Its not alright and I don't feel alright. Its tough seeing the scale go in the wrong direction. There could be several reasons for the gain (PMS and bloating, short week between weigh-ins because of my trip, and less exercise than normal) but I did most things right including eating healthy.
